hmmm.....

So I've seen this floating around and got curious.

A page+ sample from an unfinished, many year old contribution for Brieanne came back as "Vladimir Nabokov".... Wiki informs me he wrote Lolita which I have never actually read.

The second full page, many year old post for Brieanne came back as "David Foster Wallace", and a long post for a different character came back with "Stephenie Meyer" two more authors I didn't know until google told me Ms. Meyer is responsible for the Twilight books. She's made money, but I'm not sure I'm happy with that. :-p

Lastly I took the first chapter from the bit I did for NaNoWriMo just two years ago, which is probably my longest, recent effort. Finally came back with someone I not only know, but like:

I write like
J. R. R. Tolkien

I have THOUSANDS of pictures. Gigs worth. But digging into the first folders in "My Pictures" is comic. It was before I went digital and a lot of what's in there are really bad scans. Some of them are sooooo bad I'm tempted to dig the shots out and rescan them, but that would take way more time than I have now. One day. :-)

Nevertheless...

So, egwenna, your LiveJournal reveals...

You are... 0% unique and 40% herdlike (partly because you, like everyone else, enjoy yoga). When it comes to friends you are normal.
In terms of the way you relate to people, you are keen to please. Your writing style (based on a recent public entry) is absurdly obscure.

Your overall weirdness is: 46

(The average level of weirdness is: 27.
You are weirder than 86% of other LJers.)

Called me intellectual last time, not sure if that's better or worse than 'absurdly obscure'.

I LOVED these books, so I'm psyched about the movie. Though a bit surprised by my Daemon.

Ya know... I have no idea if anyone is going to get these, or not. I think at least two of them are easy. What was surprising was how many of the same keywords kept popping up, no matter how different the movies seem.

Go to IMDB.com and look up 10 of your favorite Movies. Post three official IMDB "Plot Keywords" for these 10 picks. Have your friends guess the show names.

1. Curse, Planetary Alignment, Sword And Sorcery ([livejournal.com profile] arcaedia , [livejournal.com profile] tymen )

I am heroic couplets; most precise
And fond of order. Planned and structured. Nice.
I know, of course, just what I want; I know,
As well, what I will do to make it so.
This doesn't mean that I attempt to shun
Excitement, entertainment, pleasure, fun;
But they must keep their place, like all the rest;
They might be good, but ordered life is best.
What Poetry Form Are You?

You Are Grass Green

Down to earth and a bit of a hippie, you are very into nature and the outdoors.
You accept the world and people as they are. You don't try to change things.
You are also very comfortable with yourself, flaws and all.
Optimistic about the future, you feel like life is always getting better.

Happy St. Patty's Day!

hit songs of '88 ) There were a lot I don't recognize and the only thing I can remember distintly not liking was Weird Al, but I didn't much care for anything he did. Rules for the meme (which I didn't exactly follow):
1. Go to http://popculturemadness.com/Music/index.html, and find the greatest hits for the year you turned 18. (on the left-hand side)
2. Select at least the first 40.
3. Bold the ones you like.
4. Strike out the ones you hate.
5. Italicize the ones you are familiar with but neither like nor hate.
6. Leave the ones you don't know as is.

How many have your name?

I am not surprised. There are lots of people with parts of my name, but as a whole, it is unique.

Ditto the screen name. :-)
Also not surprising.

A brilliant tactician with considerable sorcerous power, Bleys is not someone easily out-guessed. He is as deadly as any prince of Amber. Corwin's account in Nine Princes in Amber (by Roger Zelazny) of Bleys fighting ability is positively inspiring. Earlier in the book, Corwin describes Bleys physically as: "a fiery bearded, flame-crowned man, dressed all in red and orange, mainly of silk, and he held a sword in his right hand and a glass of wine in his left, and the devil himself danced in his eyes, as blue as Flora's or Eric's. His chin was slight, but the beard covered it."

Which Amberite are you?
