I still can't find another suggestion... but since they say it's there, I'm looking again. I also don't know if there's a way to tell what the status of a suggestion is. I've asked about that, but lately I seem to be running into a lot of walls so I don't have positive expectations about their response.

LJ needs to take a cue from Flickr:

You should be able to edit your comments. That would be so much nicer than having to delete them to fix a stupid typo.

I thought I'd share a few things I picked up off [livejournal.com profile] ljgenie the other day.

First - http://www.ljbook.com/   This is neat.  A PDF book of your journal... sans icons, apparently.  There might be a way to change that in the settings somewhere.  Since it's after 3AM I didn't spend much time playing with those.

Second - http://www.livejournal.com/community/lj_nifty/114353.html    An archive you can sync to your computer, like a PDA backup.  Very cool.  You get pictures, icons, the whole shebang. I'm still reading the explanations of the "Regressive Imagery Analysis". Once I understand it, it might be very interesting.

Both are one-way, but that's certainly better than having everything lost.

So... a journal entry vanished. I find this annoying and of some concern and started looking for a fairly easy -reliable- way to back up the LJ. I've come up blank. The FAQ says that some of the downloadable, non-LJ stuff does it, but not that I see.

Any suggestions??

I was reading [livejournal.com profile] eternaleponine's post about being confused because there were new people in her friends list that she wasnt entirely sure she knew.

[livejournal.com profile] npbrpg, I knew. I figured, since I met him at ACUS and I'd liked him and he'd commented on my LJ, that I would add him to my friends list so I could see what he was up to. I get there and, like Eponine, I've got new people. Now I'm wondering if I can put other names and faces to these:

[livejournal.com profile] ambersknave ...who I have the nagging suspicion that I should know but just can't place, and [livejournal.com profile] jldecker who I was thinking was in Heerat with me at ACUS, but then realized, no, the initials would be different. So I'm at a loss for context.

You folks feel free to help me out. ;-)

This is only a test.

If this had been a real journal entry there would be pictures followed by relevant text describing a day, a trip or something else I found interesting. Please stayed tuned, more might follow.

This has been a test of the LJ system.
